Weekly Social Media Update

This past week I took a couple of photos to post on my professional Instagram account. They weren’t focused on an event rather, but just everyday things I could take an interesting photo of to gain content. I received some post interactions, but not as much as I would have liked. I need to continue coming up with creative ways to post to gain more content.

I only posted these on Instagram, because I felt like that was the correct platform for my post. I have less followers on Instagram versus Facebook, so I believe that contributed to my low interaction. I did, however, utilize some hashtags which gained me new followers and interactions that I wouldn’t have otherwise received.

I’ve continued to do more research on social media of employers I would like to work for. This week I focused on Family Tree Nursery. They have a very active and well thought out social media. Their presence is very wide and they receive a lot of engagement. It was almost intimidating to look at and think about working for them someday. It was also inspiring for both my own social media, and whoever I may end up working with.
